REFLECTION
I started my education at FIU Fall 2015. I began as a Marketing and International Business major, but soon, in my sophomore year, I added a second degree: Bachelor of Arts in Psychology. I was always interested in consumer behavior and international business, making this the track perfect for me.
Since my first semester, I became very involved on campus, joining the American Marketing Association, which three years later I would go on to lead as Co-President of the chapter. I also participated in an Alternative Breaks trip to New Orleans.
When I first found out about the Global Learning Medallion program, I saw it as a great opportunity to become fully immersed in all the learning opportunities FIU has to offer. Because of the Medallion program I have been able to participate in thought provoking discussions with groups like the Tuesday Roundtables and Hacker Nation. I have also been able to attend great speaker presentations on a great variety of topics.
Overall, pursuing the Global Learning Medallion as an additional achievement to my graduation requirements has improved my experience as an FIU student. What I've learned and experienced as I've tried to complete all the requirements has exposed me to so many opportunity beyond college and I'm grateful for the opportunity.
